Five common interview questions and how to answer them

June 5, 2026

Some questions appear in nearly every interview. Preparing them in advance frees your attention for the harder, role-specific ones.

"Tell me about yourself"

This is not your life story. Give a sixty-second arc: where you are now, a relevant highlight or two, and why this role is the natural next step.

"Why do you want this job?"

Connect something specific about the company to something specific about you. Generic enthusiasm is forgettable; a concrete reason is not.

"What is your greatest weakness?"

Pick a real one, then describe what you are actively doing about it. Self-awareness plus action beats a humble-brag every time.

"Tell me about a challenge you faced"

Use STAR. Choose a story where your actions clearly drove the result, and be honest about what you learned.

"Where do you see yourself in a few years?"

Show ambition that fits the role and the company. You do not need a rigid plan — show a direction.

Practice all of these with an AI interviewer on ReayonAI and get specific, grounded feedback on each answer.
